Today, we went to the university's devotional held every Tuesday.
Over here, it is common for a spouse of a student to attend every
kind of activities as a married couple, so Yukie attended the
commencement and new student orientation with Toshi.
Today's devotional was for all students, so there were so many people.

It's impossible to accommodate all in one hall, the devotional was
broadcasted in some buildings on campus.
Today was the first devotional of the semester, so we heard the
dean and his wife's talks.
Toshi was so touched saying "I learned so much!"
(The theme was to keep the university's rule! etc)
Before I forget, I, Yukie wants to study because of Toshi's
influence, so we went to register for "Water-color" class
of university after the devotional. It is $40 for 8 lessons,
so it's a reasonable price. It starts in February, so I'm
looking forward to it. I should do that before the baby is
born in April.
By the way, we encountered 3 squirrels in a forest beside
our apartment, on the way home from univeristy.
We managed to take a picture of them! Yes! We did it!
These are kind of squirrels we see almost everyday around
our apartment, and at school.
I asked Toshi if we could eat them, he went outrageous
saying it is so pitty!
I thought they'd be delicious because they eat nuts. Just joking.
(We are not that desperate for food or money.)
今日は毎週火曜の午後にある、大学のディボーショナルというのに行ってきました。
こちらは、学生でなくても、あらゆる機会に夫婦で参加するのが普通なので、
入学式やオリエンテーションにも、私は参加しました。
今日のディボーショナルは全学生が参加対象なので、
いーっぱい人がいました。（写真は座っていた付近から後ろを撮りました）
ちなみに、当然一つの建物には入りきらないので
いくつかの建物に中継もしているとのこと。
今日は今学期最初のデボーショナルなので、学長と学長の奥様のお話を聞きました。
敏君は「すごく沢山学んだ！」とえらく感動していました。
（内容は、大学のルールを守りましょう！などでした）
そうそう、私も敏君に影響されて何か勉強したくなったので、
その帰りに大学の「水彩画」のクラスに登録してきました。
８回で４０ドルとなかなかお手ごろなクラスです。
２月スタートなので、今からとっても楽しみです。
４月に赤ちゃんが生まれる前にやりたいことやっておかなとね。
ところで、帰りにうちのアパートの隣にある林で、
リスさんたちが３匹ほどじゃれあっているのに遭遇したので、
無事写真に収めることができました！やった～！
うちの周りにも学校でも、ほぼ毎日見かけるリスたちです。
このリス食べられるかなって敏君に行ったら、
そんなのかわいそうじゃないか～！と憤慨ぎみでした。
でもきっとクルミを食べてるから、美味しいんじゃないかな。なんてね。
（まだそこまで食べ物とお金には困ってはいません）
