Finally, Yukie's English lesson started.
The teacher is a man, and he is quite a nice guy.
(Perhaps, he is single, and has been a missionary.)
Today, we introduced each other, and discussed what Yukie
wants to study from now on.
Saying that, she did not understand most of what was asked, and
she used her dictionary to see the words she wants to communicate.
Yukie says she only spoke words...
She thinks she perhaps succeeded to ommunicate that she is not a student, and that
her husband is a student majoring in Communication, and that she is free all day
and wants homwwork everyday, and that her hobby is reading, and that she wants to
learn words to use in the hospital because the baby is due April.
It was the first day for the tutor, too, and he seemed to be
troubled how to spend left-over time. So, Yukie asked him to
help her read phrases that expecting mothers use in the hospital to
deliver a baby.

We forgot to take a picture for this blog. So, today's picture is
the picture we took in Salt Lake City. We toured around our first week
in US there. It was before the Christmas and the lighting was so beautiful.
If you are coming to Salt Lake, this season is highly recommended! (even it's cold)
とうとう私の英語クラスがスタートしました。
先生は男の先生で、なかなかのナイスガイです。
（たぶん独身で宣教師をしたことがある感じ）
今日は自己紹介や、これからどんなことが勉強したいか話しました。
とはいっても、何を質問されたかわからないことがほとんどで、
伝えたいことも辞書を引きつつ、単語を発するだけという感じでした･･･。
私は学生ではなく、主人が学生でコミュニケーション専攻なこと、
一日暇だから、毎日宿題が欲しい事、趣味が読書である事、
4月に赤ちゃんが生まれるから、病院で使う言葉も学びたい事は
たぶん伝わったと思います。
先生は初日で時間が余って困っていそうだったので、
私が以前ネットで調べていた、
妊婦が病院で使う出産用語集を読むのを助けてもらいました。
「初乳」とか「レンサ球菌」とか、普通まったく使わないような単語もあったので、
先生は近くにいた他の女性の先生を呼んで、意味を教えてもらっていたりしました。
（ちょっと面白かった）
あっという間に時間が過ぎて、
じゃあまた明日！という感じで初日は終了しました。
さすがに緊張していたのか、かなり汗をかいていて、
ブログのための写真も撮り忘れて帰ってきてしまいました。
なので、本日の写真は、
アメリカについて最初の1週間観光した、ソルトレークで撮った写真です。
クリスマス前だったので、イルミネーションがとてもきれいでした。
もしソルトレークに来る時は、この時期は本当にお勧めです！（寒いけど）
